Green Cars- Tata Nano

So here's the car we have all been waiting for, the Nano! Weighing in at just 20 grams (ish), it's light, cheap and economical. Aparantly it will average over 80 MPG which is as good as any economical car nowadays.

But hang on a minute, it runs on petrol! It's not green and it's not the way forward. If it gets more people in developing countries like India onto the roads, then we are getting more CO2 in the atmosphere and not really achieving anything very positive.

It's yet to be seen how the Nano will perform sales wise in Europe and the West, the small size and instability (due to weight saving and materials used) will render the car a little unsafe for motorways and busy roads alike.
